The Golden Hours: Dawn and Dusk

Juror: Eddie SolowaySubmissions close on Monday, April 6, 2015
The golden hours: the period shortly after dawn and just before dusk, when
Copyright Eddie Soloway
ambient light is warmer, softer, diffuse. Inside or out, these windows of  opportunity can be pure magic through the lens.

About the Juror

Eddie Soloway refers to the golden hours as being on "the edge of light", those few minutes that celebrate the transitions of night to day and of day to night, "reveal[ing] the magic of light and color that fleets past us, often unseen."  His appreciation for that natural light makes him the perfect choice for Juror of this exhibition.

Submission fee: $30 for five photographs, $7 for each additional photograph.

LUX 2015 - a fine art photography journal

Submit your best photographs which represent the idea of "Struggles".

Life is a struggle teeming with external forces, which work to either keep us upright and moving forward or such forces can sometimes do quite the opposite. Losing a loved one to illness, recovering from a substance addiction, overcoming a physically challenging competition, witnessing environmental travesties, participating in a social solution, or whatever the case may be, submit photographs, fictional or non-fictional, which express the limits of our existence in the world, for better or worse.

Any genre, style, or approach to making a photograph that represents "Struggles" is welcome.
