This is a call for such photographs.

All capture and processing methods are welcome.

Call for Work: Deadline 6-10 April 2021

Framations Art Gallery invites artists to delve into spring with an examination of the times in both figurative and literal ways. A new exhibition themed "Ruin & Revival II" is an all-media juried exhibition of work exploring the concepts of ruin and revival, including spring, rebirth, destruction, and decay.

As we approach each spring, there is always the thought of how volatile the season may be any given year. Spring brings thoughts of new life, beauty, and reemergence after the cold and bleakness that signifies winter. But when we see the new life coming forth with spring, we can also train the eye to notice the things that do not come alive again. While we look for what is new, we often notice also the decay and ruin left by winter or in other ways, the destruction of time. Or perhaps a commentary on our times living during a pandemic. So much to consider. Artists are encouraged to interpret this theme.

"Ruin & Revival II" will be on display from April 16 - May 20 at Framations Art Gallery in St. Charles. Walk-in entries are due to the gallery April 6 - 10. Artists may print and fill out the entry form in advance or fill it out at the gallery. Visit Framations.com and follow the information on the homepage for Calls for Entry. Artists may submit up to four works for a non-refundable entry fee of $8.00 per piece. Please note the gallery has made changes to their entry process, including offering 5 days for entries to allow for social distancing and more time to space out walk-in entries.

The juror for this exhibit will be Ryan Horvath

Artists are asked to read the full entry details before bringing artwork to the gallery. The entry details and entry form can be found on www.framations.com.

Framations is located at 218 North Main Street in St. Charles, MO. Framations is open Tuesday - Saturday 10-6. For more information visit the website at www.framations.com or call the gallery at 636-724-8313.
