Family Matters
Juror: Ann Jastrab

Submissions close on June 8, 2015
Family. A term that evokes an avalanche of associations - some dear, some fraught, some bearing the weight of tradition and lineage, some the glow of intimacy and trust. "Family" can be defined in many ways, but it always incorporates relationships among people who share common bonds born of  friendship, location, loyalty, love, belief, interest, or blood.

We are seeking photographs that capture the emblems of those bonds. The intimacy of family makes its depiction rich with emotion, as many of our most important life experiences happen within its boundaries: birth, death, joy, rivalry, loss, growth, vulnerability. We invite you to share your glimpses of this most elemental of human social constructs. More information here.

About the Juror
