Access to darkroom and digital printing

Photo I (PHOT 1000) gives access to the darkroom while you are enrolled, but what about after that semester? Many photo students want to continue developing film and making prints.

Many photo courses include a lab fee that allows you to use the digital printers, but what if you are not enrolled in one of those courses in a given semester?

Now you can pay the associated lab fees, and have access to the darkroom and/or the digital printers during a semester when it's not included in your class lab fees.

(Access is during normal class session dates. Regular hours apply, of course, and there may sometimes be limitations if a class is in session in the space you hope to use, just as with any lab fee access.)

You are invited to apply for the NANPA Summit College Scholarship Program.

Deadline: October 31, 2018

NANPA is the North American Nature Photography Association and every two years we offer an outstanding program for 12 college students in conjunction with our Nature Photography Summit & Trade Show. The “only” expense the selected participants have to pay for is transportation to/from the conference site which in 2019 will be Las Vegas.

The program is an opportunity for students to spend 3 days in the field shooting still and video footage for an informational/promotional piece that will be used by a local/city park to share the importance of the natural habitat for a number of species in the area. Following the field experience, participants have the opportunity to meet and learn from with a number of leading nature photography professionals at the Nature Photography Summit. Portfolio reviews are also offered to the college program participants at no charge.
