Annual Juried Exhibition: Deadline 24 March 2016
ENTER THE ANNUAL
JURIED PHOTOGRAPHY SHOW!
Entries for the 2015-2016 Annual Juried Photography Show are now being accepted. All currently enrolled Webster students in all programs worldwide are eligible, as are students who were enrolled in any term in 2015.
The exhibition will run in the May Gallery from 1 - 29 April 2015, with a reception and awards presentation on Friday, 8 April, from 5-7 p.m.
Any work that involves a photographic process is welcomed, but the work should have been produced during the past year, and while a student at Webster. Work may be matted or mounted, or with sufficient border to be hung under glass. (A border of at least 1½ inches or 3½ ~ 4 cm is suggested.) Work must be unframed and ready to hang. Outside dimensions should be 8x10", 8½x11", 11x14", 11x17", 13x19", 16x20", 17x22" or 20x24". Other sizes will only be considered if (a) glass is already available in the May Gallery supply storage, or (b) the student supplies glass for hanging. (Submissions by students from international campuses in metric sizes will be accommodated.) A maximum of four pieces per individual may be submitted. No fees are required.

Deadline for submission is Thursday, 24 March 2016, at 4:30 p.m. Remember, this is a juried show. Work exhibited and awards will be selected by an independent outside jury. There is no guarantee that every piece submitted will be exhibited; enter your very best work.
All work submitted must have student’s name, phone number, email, campus (if not Webster Groves) and title of the piece (if any) legibly written on, or securely affixed to, the back of each piece. Failure to include this information will disqualify the work from consideration by the jury. Work submitted should be protected in a box, case, or suitable envelope with the student's name on the outside of the package.
If you are interested in having your work reproduced in a catalog accompanying the show, send a file attachment, sized approximately 1200x1800 pixels, to mgallery@webster.edu. It must be the same image as you submit for the exhibition; be sure your name is part of the file name. Only images selected by the jurors will be considered for publication.
Photos not selected for the show may be picked up in the gallery beginning Monday, 28 March. Photos that are in the show may be picked up in the gallery beginning Monday, 2 May. Photos not picked up by 1 June 2016 will be discarded. Entries from outside St. Louis will be returned by post to the campus of origin.
Prizes will be awarded for Best of Show and First, Second and Third Place. In addition, there is a cash purchase award for the Best of Show winner.

CALL FOR ENTRIES FOR FORM AND
FUNCTION EXHIBITION
AT THE FOUNDRY ART CENTRE
"Form follows function" is the
principle that the form art takes should be based upon its intent and purpose. Form and Function will
examine this principle as well as any artwork that challenges it. Whether the
design is functional, decorative, or alludes to the infrastructure of an
object, Form and Function explores
the relationship between the form of art and its function or purpose. This is
exhibition is open to all media and all entries are due Monday, March 21, 2016.
Juror Damon McIntyre, a sculptor and instructor at Arizona State University,
will select all the pieces in the exhibition. Form and Function will
open Friday, May 6 and close Friday, June 17. Calls for entry are available
online at foundryartcentre.org or at
the Foundry Art Centre, located at 520 North Main Center in St. Charles,
Missouri.

Objects of Desire is now open for entries for 2016. The winners' gallery,
which will run in the July 2016 issue of PDN and on PDNonline.com,
will recognize the talented photographers making still-life work, from product
shots, to conceptual editorial stories, to fine-art projects. How do you light,

"Time of Season."
