Summer Internship Travel Grant: Deadline Friday, 20 April 2018


The Career Planning & Development Center (CPDC) is offering the opportunity for 10 undergraduate students to receive a practicum/internship travel grant for summer 2018 practicums/internships. The grant, valued at $2,400 per student, is intended to remove some of the financial barriers for students who are completing an unpaid, for credit practicum/internship that is located at least 60 miles from their permanent address.


Eligibility Criteria:
·    Undergraduate students enrolled full-time on the main campus in Webster Groves.
·    Students must be in good academic standing with the University and have a GPA of 2.5 or above.
·    Students must be in good financial standing with the University and have no holds on their account.
·    Students must be enrolled in credit-bearing practicum/internship course for summer 2018.
·    Practicum/internship must be unpaid.
·    Practicum/internship location must be located at least 60 miles from a student’s permanent address. 

 Examples:
·    If a student’s permanent address is in Springfield, Missouri and the student is completing a summer practicum/internship in St. Louis, Missouri, they meet this criteria.
·    If a student’s permanent address is in St. Louis, Missouri and the student is completing a summer practicum/internship in Chicago, Illinois, they meet this criteria.


Application Process:
·    Students must complete a brief online application no later than Friday, April 20, 2018 at 11:59 p.m. CST; see link below.
·    Students will be notified by email by Friday, May 4, 2018 if they will be receive the practicum/internship travel grant.
·    The grant will be applied to the student account; students will not receive a check for the grant.


Important Notes for Students:
·    The practicum/internship travel grant will impact a student’s overall aid. It is the responsibility of the student to meet with their Financial Aid advisor to discuss the impact of the grant on aid. 
·    This grant is not renewable.
