ARTIST SUBMISSIONS SOUGHT FOR 2018-2019 SEASON AT
THE GALLERY AT UNIVERSITY CITY PUBLIC LIBRARY

The Gallery of the University City Public Library is seeking applicants for juried shows in its 37^th season. The season begins in July 2018 and continues through June 2019, and exhibitors are chosen by a jury of local artists. Submissions are due to The Gallery by February 28, 2018.

Visual artists are asked to submit a short resume of artistic background and 12 images of recent work on a CD or via e-mail. Included should be a list with dimensions and medium of each piece. The large exhibition space of 1250 square feet is suitable only for wall-mounted work; the Library is unable to accommodate free-standing pieces or works requiring display cases. Applicants should be familiar with the space and have sufficient work to mount a full exhibit. A 55-inch digital screen is now available to complement the exhibits.

Entries can also be e-mailed tolexine@ucitylibrary.org, or dropped off in person at the Library. Submissions will be returned by mail only if a self-addressed stamped envelope is included. Jurors will meet in March and artists will be informed shortly afterward of the jurors’ decisions.
