PIEA International Student-Teacher Competition and Exhibition coming soon

Please familiarize yourself closely with the 2009 rules as several items have changed.

New this year is the requirement that all submitted prints must have at least a 1/2" white border outside the image area. In years past, images were damaged while handling them as no edge was available for the judging and mounting of prints. Judging last year consisted of over 6000 prints! The white border will greatly enhance the traveling exhibitions as I will no longer have to remove image area that had been damaged before mounting or during shipping. Please remember to package your images well to protect them from wrinkling and corner damage.

Also worth noting is the importance of supplying a working email and computer platform of choice for each entrant on the individual entry forms. Many of our prizes are computer system specific or require the email address to send further information from our sponsors concerning the students winnings. Emails are not used for advertising purposes.

Checklist:

• All entries are properly labeled on the back with name, school and category and theTOP of the image designated. (Print Legibly!)
• Image area is at least 5”x5” and no larger than 14”x14” and has a 1/2” white border on all sides.
• Each entrant has filled out an entry form with all requested info.
• Entries have been mailed to arrive in Jackson, Michigan by December 5, 2008.
  

At this moment there are 64 sponsors donating over $157, 500.00 in prizes. More are expected.
