Call for Work: Deadline 2 April 2008
The Soulard Art Market and Contemporary Gallery is calling for submissions to "I See Music", a juried exhibition of local artists from April 10th-May 11th, 2008. Work will be displayed in the main gallery along with our studio artists. St Louis is a wonderfully musical city and we'd love to showcase how visual artists see the passion, history, vibrance and importance of music in our society.
Submission Guidelines:
- Each artist may submit up to 2 original works.
- Sculpture should be no larger than: 10 sq ft (Height: 6ft, Width: 2ft.) -sculpture must have a stand or be displayable on a 10" deep windowsill.
- Framed 2D artwork must be ready for hanging.
- All artwork images for consideration MUST be submitted via JPEG/JPG image (no larger than 500kb) File Name should be named as such: Artists Name_Name of Piece_Dimensions.jpg (EG: John Smith_Artwork1_16x20.jpg)
- Accompanying e-mail must include artwork title/media/measurements, your contact e-mail
address, and phone number.
- Website address submissions will NOT be accepted.
Send e-mail and JPEG(s) to: jury@soulardartmarket.com. All submissions are to be received no later than April 2nd for consideration. Submission is FREE! Accepted artists must submit an operational costs fee of $30 (cash only), payable upon delivery of artwork. There will be no commission; artists will retain 100% of sales.
