2009 PIEA contest rules published

It's never too early to start preparing for the 2009 PIEA International Student/Faculty Exhibition and Competition. On the PIEA homepage at http://pieapma.org you will find a link on the left to take you directly to the rules and forms needed to enter. The 2008 contest gave out over $161,000.00 US!

Note the later deadline (12/05/2008) this year to give you more time to gather those winning images together. Student single images entered must have been produced during calendar year 2008. Portfolio images may have been produced anytime during the student's academic career (with the exception that images submitted in previous PIEA competitions are ineligible).

Of special note is the new rule concerning white borders on prints. All prints must have a 1/2" white border surrounding the image area for print handling during judging and during mounting. It is highly recommended that prints be thoroughly dry before shipment (at least 24 hours!) as often we see one image transferred to the back of another image.

As always read the rules very carefully and print legibly on the entry form.

Good luck!
