North American Nature Photography Association: Deadline 31 October 2018
Two opportunities from the North American Nature Photography
Association (NANPA):
- A $1,000 scholarship
toward tuition for photography majors
- Grant to participate in a photography
program that teaches students how to use photography
for story-telling purposes.
The deadline to apply for both programs is October 31, 2018 at
11:00 pm EDT.
Scholarship: The NANPA Foundation
is offering the Janie Moore Greene Grant
that awards $1,000 to a photography student to be applied to tuition costs.
Undergraduate and graduate students are eligible to apply. Students have to be
in a program that specializes in the study of photography.
Field-based Photography Program: The NANPA College Scholarship Program
is an opportunity for 12 students to spend three days in Wetlands Park in Las
Vegas, Nevada (Feb. 18-20, 2019) shooting still and video footage that they
will use to create a promotional piece for the Clark County Parks and
Recreation Department during the next three days (Feb. 21-23, 2019).
Following the field experience, participants have the
opportunity to meet and learn from a number of leading nature photography
professionals at the Nature Photography Summit & Trade
Show. Portfolio reviews are also offered to the college
program participants at no charge.
This is a great time of fellowship with some of the top nature
photographers and includes outstanding opportunities to network with peers and
professionals, attend workshops, and photograph in the field alongside
professional photographers and mentors.
Participants are required to pay for their travel to/from Las
Vegas, Nevada. All other expenses for the week are covered with the grant.
