Call For Artwork focusing on the use of color
Framations Art Gallery invites artists from the St. Louis Region to explore color in their artwork in a new exhibit. Brilliant Color is the next in a series of exhibit themes that highlight the elements of art, which are line, shape, space, texture, value, form and color. The hue, saturation, and intensity of color determine its overall feel or impact. Here the gallery asks artists to focus on the power and significance of color in their imagery.
Open to all media, this exhibit offer a great opportunity for artists to display their work in a gallery setting in Historic St. Charles, MO. Artists who are interested in participating are invited to deliver up to four entries to Framations the weekend of March 2 - 4. Framations is open 10-6 Friday and Saturday, and 12-5 on Sunday. There will be an Opening Reception for the exhibit on March 9 from 6-8 pm. Brilliant Color be on display March 9 - April 19, 2018.
The Juror for this exhibit will be Terri Shay, who has been working in art and design for 12 plus years and is currently a professor at St Louis University teaching color theory and design. Learn more about Terri Shay at www.terrishay.com.
