IN PRAISE OF TREES
Deadline: June 9th

Trees. They enrich our lives in so many ways: growing alongside our children, marking our homes and highways, towering over us in woods and forests. Here in Vermont, they blaze with color in the fall or mark the arrival of spring after all too long a winter. For this exhibition, we seek photographs in any style that celebrate the trees of the world. The exhibition is scheduled to be on view at the gallery from August 25th through September 19th. The juror for this exhibition will be Kirsten Hoving, Co-Director of PhotoPlace Gallery. She will choose 40 photographs for display at PhotoPlace Gallery and 35 additional photographs for the gallery's Online Annex.Submission fee: $30 for five photos, $7 each additional photo.

WATER, ELEMENTAL AND FUNDAMENTAL

Water. Liquid, frozen, or vapor, water in all its forms can be one of nature's most powerful forces and humans' most peaceful companions. It occupies 75% of our planet and 65% of our bodies, and it's become the yardstick by which we measure global warming.For this exhibition, we seek photographs in any style that tell us more about water. WATER, ELEMENTAL AND FUNDAMENTAL is scheduled to be on view form September 23 through October 17th. The juror for this exhibition will be Laura Moya, Director of Photolucida. She will choose 40 photographs for display at PhotoPlace Gallery and 35 for the gallery's Online Annex. Submission fee: $30 for five photos, $7 each additional photo.
