Call for Work: Deadline 6-7 June 2014
Framations Art Gallery is looking for artwork that focuses on repetition for their next exhibit. This exhibit, called "Worth Repeating" focuses on repetition, be it color, texture, pattern, etc. Artists are encouraged to use their creativity and interpret the theme as it fits their work.
This exhibit will be on display June 13 - July 17, 2014. Artists can enter up to four pieces, with an entry fee of $8.00 per piece. Entries must be hand delivered to Framations June 6-7 from 10 - 6 and June 8 from 12 – 5. This exhibit is open to artists 18 years of age or older who live in the St. Louis region. Works in all 2D and 3D media can be entered. There will be Awards announced at the Opening Reception on June 13 from 6-8pm. Artists should read through all entry information prior to submitting work. The Juror for this exhibit is Ken Anderson. He has had over twenty gallery affiliations throughout the United States. Ken is a painter, sculptor, and mixed-media artist who has been an active exhibitor since 1974. He has participated in over 200 documented exhibitions, 35 of which were solo exhibitions. These exhibits were a mixture of international expositions, national and international competitions, invitational exhibits, and solo and group shows at various venues including museums, universities and galleries across the United States. His work is included in over 70 public and corporate collections. His current body of work is influenced by textiles from around the world and consists of dimensional low relief abstract wood assemblages. He uses a reductive landscape-referenced palette applied with both paints and stains.
