Photograph Webster Groves on Film
Call for Analog Photographers
Photographers are invited to a one-day analog photography event in Webster Groves, Saturday, May 10, sponsored by the Webster Community Arts Foundation. The event is free and open to all ages, but pre-registration is required.
Combined with Paint Webster, when more than 75 plein air artists of all abilities spend the day capturing Webster Groves on paper and canvas, Photograph Webster invites film photographers to find that perfect composition and show their unique perspective. Participating photographers will showcase their work in the Community Tent at WCAF’s free art fair, Art&Air, June 6-8 in Webster.
Shooting with film is special. It’s not old-fashioned. It takes time, care, and extra effort, just like painting plein air. This is an opportunity for analog photographers to show what they can do.
Photographers may shoot any kind of film – Polaroid, black & white, or color – and with any kind of camera, including toy cameras, pinholes, large formats or old 35mms.They can bring one piece of art from that day's film shoot for public display at the Community Tent at Art&Air June 6-8.
Photograph Webster relies on the integrity of the photographer to show work that was only photographed on May 10, 2014, and only with film.
To pre-register, send an email to Jeane Vogel, j.vogel@wcaf.org.
