Call for work: Deadline 3 February 2013

The Soulard Art Market (SAM) and Contemporary Gallery is calling for submissions to

"fashionart," a juried exhibition of "art as fashion /fashion as art" runs from (February 15, 2013 - March 8, 2013), and each artist may submit up to three original works. Artwork displayed in prior years may not be submitted.

Exhibition Theme:

"fashionart" features any medium of fashion as an artistic work that is wearable. We're looking for the use of fashion as a creative expression. Art to be worn: --hats, gloves, wraps, coats, shirts, pants, belts, ties, socks, shoes, boots, eye glasses, gowns, etc. Now also accepting 2-D renderings of "fashionart" in the form o sketches, paintings, and photography.

Electronic submissions by Sunday, February 3

If accepted, drop off: Sunday, Feb. 10, 3-6 p.m., or Monday, Feb. 11, 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.

Submission is FREE! Accepted artists must submit an operational costs' fee of $30. There will be no commission; artists will retain 100% of sales. We look forward to seeing your art in the upcoming exhibition.
