LET THEM EAT ART
Opening Night Show @ Studio Altius

On July 11, 2008, the streets of Maplewood will be filled with people, food, and art, as local residents, artists, performers, and restaurateurs converge for "Let Them Eat Art," Maplewood's 3rd annual Bastille-Day Arts event. One of the main aspects of this event is to showcase local artists. This year, "Let Them Eat Art" will offer local artists an opportunity to display and sell their work in a gallery show at Studio Altius. Stop in to see the artwork of: William Carver, Lou Clauss, Sue Clauss, David Coblitz, Jennifer DeSuza, Greg Kluempers, Marlene Lewis, George Malek, Curt Parker, Valerie Rippey, J. Roberts, Benji Rowan, Carl Stone, and Timothy Wagner.

This event is a hands-on opportunity to try out some of the best lighting equipment available. We will be showcasing various high-end studio lighting brands by setting up two shooting spaces with backgrounds, models and the various lighting systems. Photographers will have the opportunity to step in and shoot some great shots with some great lighting. Schiller's will be providing the demonstration and answering questions. Other vendors include Studio Altius, Diversified Lab, SendOutCards, and The Great Frame Up. Admission to this EXPO is free, just bring a camera and be ready to learn more about how you can increase the quality, quantity, and effectiveness of your photography business. Come spend a relaxed evening at Studio Altius filled with social networking, photography discussion, and delightful beverages. This event is open to all levels of photographers. Come get connected with other photographers in town, learn about various topics in photography, bring some new images to show off, hey...even bring old equipment you are looking to unload, whatever floats your boat! Admission is $5 or a 6-pack of beer or a bottle of wine or five dollar's worth of snacks/soda. As always, Studio Altius exists to be a resource for professional and serious amateur photographers. We have a beautiful rental space that is fully equipped to meet your studio needs. If you haven't taken the time to stop by the studio for a tour, then give a call and come on by. STUDENT WEDNESDAYS
