This workshop will begin with a look at tools we can use to gather news from alternative sources. We’ll follow with an introductory show-and-tell that provides an overview of new technologies. You’ll learn how you and your social change group can become producers of your own media.

We’ll cover some of the basics of audio and video, photography, podcasting, and RSS feeds. We'll look at integrating media into websites. You'll leave with a list of software, hardware, and equipment to consider for your group's media production, much of it opensource or inexpensive. You'll also learn about local sources of media production support.

IF YOU LIKE, BRING A POSTER THAT SHOWS US SOMETHING YOU’VE CREATED
