Welcome to the digital age...where assignments (and fees) are down and competition is up. How can today’s pro photographer adjust, identify and take advantage of the income opportunities left available?

Whether we pros like it or not, “Stock Photography” has become the major source of imagery for today’s photo buyers, designers and art directors, and in order to thrive and survive every pro photographer, no matter what their specialty, needs to understand this market and how to integrate it into a business model.

This fast-paced seminar starts with an historical overview of the stock photo industry and progresses through the changes this buying (and selling) model has faced over the years, bringing us to today. Throughout the seminar we will examine real world scenarios and see how to take advantage of the various opportunities that today’s market provides to create new incremental revenue streams.

When possible, we also include local Art Directors and/or Photo Buyers who share their perspective on the stock industry and tips on how they find photographers, not only for stock but for assignments too. Join us for an informative, educational and entertaining evening and find out how you too can maximize the opportunities available in this fast changing, highly competitive market. The evening will also feature an overview of the ASMP/Digital Railroad partnership and a review of special benefits and discounts available to ASMP members.

About the Presenter: Ric Kasnoff has over 30 years experience as an award-winning editorial and commercial photographer as well as having been certified by Apple and Adobe as an Expert and Instructor in many of the current professional level Digital Imaging applications. Passionate, informed and entertaining, Ric uses examples of his and other pro photographers “real world” experiences to illustrate the concepts presented during the evening.
