Open Theme Call for Entry and Exhibition
For seven years Center Forward has featured the best
images in contemporary photography and photo-based work. Emerging to
established artists are encouraged to submit. All types of photographic process
are eligible for selection and exhibition.
Submissions Are Due by Sunday | May 20th, 2018
Jurors | Kris Graves and Hamidah Glasgow
The Center’s Executive Director and Curator Hamidah Glasgow in
collaboration with Kris Graves. Graves is a publisher and artist. Kris Graves
Projects creates limited edition publications and archival prints, focusing on
contemporary photography and works on paper. +KGP focuses on current world
issues including race, policy, social awareness, science, feminism, and
culture. Graves has reviewed at Photolucida + Fotofest.
Artist Honors and Awards
All selected artists’ work is exhibited with the Center and in
the Online Exhibition complete with artist website links. C4FAP also provides
professional installation images, event Press Release and social media
promotions with an audience of 180,000+ followers internationally. All artists
and friends are welcome to celebrate the exhibition with us at the reception in
Fort Collins, Colorado.
Juror’s Award: $400/Director’s Award: $200/Honorable Mentions
New* Travel Scholarship: To
further our goal of inclusivity one artist will receive a need-based
scholarship for travel to Fort Collins, accommodations, and ground
transportation. Applications taken after selections announced.
Artist Immersion Saturday |
Artists can opt to join us for Saturday morning individual portfolio reviews
with our Juror and Executive Director. Saturday afternoon there is a private
artist portfolio share where the artists are given the opportunity to discuss
their work, receive feedback and professional development advice. Selected
Artists are welcome to join for all or part of the Saturday events. Free for
members, $40 for non-members.
Submission | Entry Fee
Members | $24 for the three images.
Non-Members | $38 for the first three images.
Additional Images may be submitted for $7 each for members and
$10 each for non-members. There is no limit to the number of images that may be
submitted.
Eligibility
Our calls for entry are open to photographers world wide, both
amateur and professional. The Center invites photographers working in all
mediums, styles and schools of thought to participate. All
image sizes and processes including film, plate, digital, alternative, and any
combo of are eligible for selection. We offer low cost presentations and production
options for all selected artists.
