Emerging Photographer contest: Deadline 5 March 2015

Enter Emerging Photographer by March 5 for the chance to have your work publish in the Summer 2015 print and digital issue.

Each week, we've featured a different artist from the Emerging Photographer Winter 2014 issue in anticipation of the current submission period's deadline of March 5. This week, meet Teresa Castro, whose work is pictured above. The image is part of Castro's series "Pilgrimage," a personal collection of images shot while traveling along Interstate 5 from Los Angeles to Northern California. Castro's series has the feeling of a loose fashion narrative or stills from an indie flick, and she photographs her muse, friend Alexandra Sempel, in "in between" moments to evoke a narrative. You can see her full series in the Winter 2014 digital edition. Be a part of our upcoming issue! We are seeking fresh photo essays and projects consisting of up to 10 images per entry. The Summer 2015 issue will be polybagged with 5,000 copies of PDN and sent to a distribution list of 5,000 top photography creatives. The issue will also be available at photography festivals and events throughout the year, and the digital edition will be promoted to PDN's network of 200,000 followers.
