Geena Davis event: Thursday, 29 November 2012

In partnership with the Independent Television Service’s Women and Girls Lead campaign, the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media’s “Guess Who?” video and curriculum series teaches young children to challenge gender stereotypes, showing men and women in nontraditional careers. A children’s educational video produced by Webster University students and assistant professor Aaron AuBuchon is included in the “Guess Who?” series.

The Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media is the only research-based organization working within the media and entertainment industry to engage, educate and influence the need for gender balance, reducing stereotyping and creating a wide variety of female characters for entertainment targeting children 11 and under.
