UNIVERSITY CITY PUBLIC LIBRARY
INVITING PARTICIPANTS FOR ART EXHIBITION
EXPRESS YOURSELF: COMMUNITY, CIVILITY AND COMPASSION

The University City Public Library, in partnership with AARP University City/Clayton, is making a special opportunity available to young adults and senior citizens.  Artists ages 16-21 and 55+ are encouraged to submit artwork to be displayed in The Gallery at the UCPL during the month of August.

Artwork should be a creative exploration of the themes of community, civility and compassion and can be presented in a variety of media: pencil, watercolor, oil, acrylics, mixed media, collage, photography, printed computer-generated art, or 3-dimensional pieces that can be fit into a display case.  A reception to celebrate the show will be held Sunday, August 19 at 2pm in The Gallery.

Interested participants should contact the library for an application. Art may be dropped off at the Library July 22-30.
