Call for Work: Deadline 20 June 2009

Entry forms are now available for Art Saint Louis' next juried exhibition, "Minding the Gap." You can download a copy from our website. For "Minding the Gap," artists are invited to submit original artworks that examine the neglected negative space, be it physical, emotional or abstract; and/or works that explore empty space or the missing subject.

Juried by St. Louis artists Brad Loudenback, Associate Professor, Webster University, and Bill Yonker, Director of Exhibitions, Messing Gallery, MICDS.

"Minding the Gap" is open to artists 21+ residing in the St. Louis region (includes a 200-mile radius, but does not include Kansas City or Chicago--too far).

Open to all media* (*no ceiling installed work, no works that rely on use of Internet for display/exhibition). Works created in past 2 years (2007-2009). Juried from the actual artworks, limit 2. Works must be ready to install. Proposals not accepted for this show; must submit actual work for jurying.

Exhibition: July 20-August 27, 2009, Art Saint Louis, 555 Washington Ave., #150, St. Louis, MO 63101. Reception July 18, 6-8 p.m.

Entry fee: $15/current ASL members; $25/non-members; $5 with NEW $45 membership=$50. Entry form required. Downloadable prospectus & Artwork I.D. Slip.

Registration deadline for entry form & fee: June 20, 2009.
Deliver artworks for jurying: June 26-27, 2009, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
