Photomation: The Secrets of Success


Dan Thornton holds both the Master of Photography and the Master of Electronic Imaging degrees from the PPA, as well as a Fellow of the ASP. Dan was one of the first portrait photographers in the world to embrace digital imaging. He has been hired as a consultant to Eastman Kodak and has taught Photoshop at PPA schools and lectured throughout the USA and Canada.

Dan’s lecture will be a combination of hints and tips and proven ideas that have helped him in business, print competition and in life.

Subjects will include:
* Photoshop tips and tricks on how to use advance masking and layer techniques.
* Establishing an automated work flow including Photoshop’s secret script event manager.
* As well as other little known but useful and creative technique.
* Marketing and sales ideas to increase your profit without increasing your work load.
* Ways to impress your clients as well as PPA judges.
* Cool stuff segment: New ideas for props, posing and backgrounds and other stuff.
* Ways to return balance and meaning to your life which have been stolen from you after the digital transition.
