Call for Work: Deadline 31 May 2008

The Soulard Art Market and Contemporary Gallery is calling for submissions to "The Beauty Within", a juried exhibition of local artists from June 12, 2008 to July 6, 2008.

Each artist may submit up to 2 original works. We accept most media (Sorry, NO video or
ceiling-suspended artwork.)

Submission Guidelines:
- No more than 2 Pieces of work to be juried.
- Framed 2D artwork must be ready for hanging with wire (no saw tooth hangers).
- All artwork for consideration MUST be submitted via JPEG/JPG image.
- Accompanying e-mail must include title/ media/measurements, contact e-mail address, and phone number.
- File size for each work cannot exceed 500kb and must be attached in JPEG format.
- Website address submissions will NOT be accepted.
- File Name should be named as such: Artists Name_Name of Piece_Dimensions.jpg (John Smith_Artwork1_16x20.jpg)

All submissions are to be received no later than May 31st, 2008 by Midnight (cst) for consideration. Submission is FREE! Accepted artists must submit an operational costs fee of $30. We will accept cash only, payable upon delivery of artwork. A portion of the acceptance fee will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. There will be no commission; artists will retain 100% of sales, there will be an option to donate the proceeds of your sale to the Susan G. Komen foundation. Gallery hours: Thur/Fri 6pm to 10pm, Sat/Sun noon to 6pm
