Venus Envy: Call for Volunteers
Looking for a Few (and by few we mean many) Great Volunteers!
Venus Envy is seeking a diverse group of community-minded men and women to join us in facilitating our annual arts festival on April 13 & 14.
Venus Envy is an organization driven by women, which positively affects everyone by empowering women through the arts. Every year, the Venus Envy arts festival - which celebrates over 200 regional female artists and performers who apply competitively to be featured - is made successful by a talented, dedicated and remarkable group of volunteers.
Be an integral part of this inspirational and cultural affair, while enjoying the art up close and personal and mingling with the artists! The event runs April 13 and 14, from 7 p.m. - midnight, and will be held in the Locust Business District at 3001 and 3016 Locust Street, in newly renovated warehouse spaces. Our annual preview party will take place the evening of April 12, 6-9 pm.
Volunteers may work 3-hour shifts (or more!). Ages 18 and older are welcome. To volunteer, contact venusenvyvolunteer@yahoo.com, or call 314-654-3258 and ask for Sarah. Include your phone number, email, age, and date/time you anticipate helping.
Opportunities to Help:
Thursday, April 12 (6 p.m. - 10:30): Set-up, Preview Party, Tear-down
Friday, April 13: Set-up, Entrance, Reception, Bar/wine garden (must be 21 to bartend), Art Sales, Fashion Show, Performances, Tear-down
Shift 1: 6 - 9:30
Shift 2: 9 - 12:30 a.m.
Saturday, April 14; Set-up, Entrance, Reception, Bar/wine garden (must be 21 to bartend), Art Sales, Fashion Show, Performances, Tear-down (late afternoon thru late night shifts)
