Call for Work: Deadline 2 April 2007
"S p r u n g"
Artists are invited to submit three works each in any medium or mixed media for exhibit at the Sprung show, opening April 13 at Art Coop. Sprung will feature 33 artists as we're all sprung into spring.
For works submitted to be hung on the wall, each artist is generally limited to approximately 6' feet of horizontal wall space for the three works. Exceptions will be made for large works where necessary. For large sculpture, freestanding installations or performance art, floor to 16' ceiling space will be available as required by the work.
Art Coop charges no gallery commission on sales of your work, but there is a $25 entry fee per artist (not per work), payable on installation of your work. Exhibition is limited to the first 33 artists accepted.
Deadline for received submissions is April 2nd. But don't delay submitting. Submissions will be reviewed as received and accepted or rejected only until we have 33 artists accepted. 12 artist slots are already filled.
Preferred submission is by emailing JPEGs of your work to artcoopstl@hotmail.com or give us a website address where we can see your work.
Alternatively, slides may be snail mailed to: Art Coop, 2400 South Jefferson, St. Louis, MO 63104. They cannot be returned unless a postage paid self-addressed envelope is included.
In either case, please include the dimensions of the works you are submitting for review
If you exhibited at Art Coop during the early days on Washington Avenue, feel welcome to call or email me and we probably won't need to see your current work before accepting you for this show.
For installations or performance work, a written description by email is acceptable. Diagrams, drawings or photos of the proposed work or previous work by you would be helpful.
