Call for Work: Women's Caucus for Art

St. Louis Chapter of the National Women's Caucus for Art
Transforming Identity
December 1 - 30, 2006
3rd Floor Gallery

Theme
Transforming Identity. Work in any media that explores any aspect of transforming identity: who we are, how we perceive ourselves, how our relationships, culture, race and religious beliefs can form our identity (some examples might include aging, taking on new roles, titles, or responsibilities, attitudes).

Eligibility
Open to all women artists living within a 100-mile radius of St. Louis, MO. Selection is based on original 2-D & 3-D work created within the last two years. Work submitted must not have been previously exhibited in any exhibition sponsored by WCA-STL. Work created under instruction is not eligible. Artwork may be submitted framed or in an alternative presentation form and ready to hang. Work without the appropriate hanging apparatus will be disqualified. Work must fit through a standard door. No ceiling suspended artwork. Video work may be submitted, but it is the responsibility of the artist to provide viewing equipment.

Dates and Deadlines
Friday, Nov. 17 - post mark deadline for pre-registration entry fee
Saturday, Nov. 25, 10am - 4pmor Monday, Nov. 27, 10am - 2pm - Drop off artwork to be juried, 3rd Floor Gallery.
Tuesday, Nov. 28 - Notification of acceptance/rejection by phone or e-mail.
Wednesday, Nov. 29 - Pick up declined work from 10 AM - 4 PM, 3rd Floor Gallery.
Friday, Dec. 1 - Exhibition opens, Reception 7 - 9 PM in conjunction with First Friday Walk.
Saturday, Dec. 30 - Last day of exhibition
Wednesday, January 3 10-4pm - Pick up all exhibited artwork, 3rd Floor Gallery.
