Call for Work: Deadline 20 January 2019

Exploring photographic work in all disciplines

Framations Art Gallery offers local artists an opportunity to display their photographic work in a gallery setting in Historic St. Charles, MO. This will be the 13th Annual Beyond the Lens exhibit, a juried exhibit of photographic work in all disciplines.

Artists who are interested in participating are invited to deliver up to four entries to Framations the weekend of January 18 - 20, 2019. Framations is open 10-6 Friday and Saturday, and 12-5 on Sunday. There will be an Opening Reception for the exhibit on January 25 from 6-8 pm. The Juror for this exhibit will be  Erica Popp, an artist, educator, curator, and project manager. Her artwork is primarily photography, especially alternative photographic processes. Her work has been shown nationally in solo and group exhibitions, and reproduced by Urban Outfitters and Art Crate. Popp has juried and curated exhibitions regionally and nationally. She has taught photography and developmental writing both full and part-time at the college level, and currently teaches part-time at St. Louis Community College at Meramec. Popp is the owner and co-curator of Erica Popp Studios + Gallery in St. Louis' Tower Grove South neighborhood, an organization dedicated to supporting artists who are young in their careers through exhibitions, workshops, mentorship, and professional services. She holds an MFA in Fine Arts from Fontbonne University in St. Louis.
