What says SUMMER to you? Whether it's what you see from your window, a place you've been or would rather be, or an abstraction of colors that convey the season, submissions for this juried installation should evoke thoughts and feelings of summertime. Creative interpretation is encouraged!

ABOUT THE PLACE:
Works chosen for this juried exhibit will be on display at Cork Wine Bar, 423 S. Florissant, and Ferguson Brewing Company, 418 S. Florissant, both bustling locally-owned businesses in the CityWalk section of Ferguson, MO. An ArtWalk and Opening Reception will be held at 427 Gallery.

ABOUT THE ART:
Artworks 11" x 14" or larger, not to exceed 3' x 5', are welcome. A limited number of spaces for large works are available. No more than FIVE (5) pieces per artist may be submitted. Artworks must be in sturdy frames with wire stretched across the back. Absolutely no unstable frames, sawtooth hangers or other devices permitted; the safety of our guests is our first priority. To have your work considered, contact Kathy Czopek, or send a Facebook message to Northern Arts Council, no later than Wednesday, May 29. In your message, include media, size and number of pieces you'd like to submit. Artists will drop off artworks at the designated time, and final selections will be made from the original art. Work submitted will be juried to fit the exhibit space, to display work from a variety of artists, and to show the best quality work from what is entered. An artist may find that all, some or none of his or her pieces have been chosen for the exhibit. Artists will be asked to pick up any submitted work that is not chosen for the show.

ABOUT SALES:
Sales of artwork are welcome and encouraged during business hours, as well as at NAC'special events. Price lists will be posted at each location. NAC retains 30% of purchase price.

The Northern Arts Council, formed in 2005, is a non-profit, community based arts organization that supports and promotes the arts and culture in North St. Louis County. We welcome ALL arts and art enthusiasts.
