Faculty Teacing Award nominations: Deadline Friday, 2 March 2012
Kemper Award Nominees Sought from Webster Community
The Office of the Provost & Senior Vice President invites nominations for the 2012 William T. Kemper Award for Excellence in Teaching. This award, generously funded by the William T. Kemper Foundation, recognizes faculty members who demonstrate teaching at its finest. Up to four Kemper Awards will be presented: two for full-time faculty members (St. Louis), and two adjunct faculty members (all campuses).
To nominate a faculty member, please write a brief paragraph stating why you think he/she is an outstanding teacher. Nominees will be asked to provide background information on their teaching experiences as well as a statement articulating their philosophy of education. For the part-time faculty award, preference will be given to professional practitioners (adjunct faculty) who have taught for more than three years.
The Provost & Senior Vice President will appoint a committee consisting of alumni, faculty, and administration to review nominations and materials to select the four recipients. Announcement of the 2012 William T. Kemper Award for Excellence in Teaching will be made at the end of the academic year at an appropriate ceremony.
Nominators may nominate one full-time and/or one part-time faculty member. Nominations are due to the Office of the Provost & Senior Vice President by Friday, March 2. Nominations may be sent to provost@webster.edu (please use Kemper Award in the subject line).
Thank you for your support in recognizing outstanding teaching excellence.
