Vanishing Treasures photo contest: Deadline 23 March 2007

In honor of Lowepro’s 40th Anniversary and in support of Polar Bears International, Lowepro and Outdoor Photographer have teamed up to invite readers to submit their best photos for a chance to win the Grand Prize and have their photo published in Outdoor Photographer.

Send us your best photos in one of two categories:

Landscape/Scenics: Nature is a fragile heritage, in the country, the suburbs, or the city. Photographs can draw attention to endangered spaces or preserve the memory of a favorite area.

Wildlife: More than just a pretty place, nature is home to animals, plants, butterflies and insects.

Only entries submitted online will be eligible for the People’s Choice Award.

One photo from each category will be awarded the People’s Choice Award, chosen by readers from all over the world!

The People’s Choice Award prize package includes:

Please submit a $10 entry fee that will cover up to five photo submissions per person.
All entry fees will go to Polar Bears International , a nonprofit organization dedicated to the worldwide conservation of the polar bear through education and research. The winner will be announced in the June 2007 issue of Outdoor Photographer.
