Call for Work: Deadline 31 January 2013

Art Saint Louis is pleased to announce that the Call for Entry for our next juried exhibit, "Silence & Noise" is now available for download: www.artsaintlouis.org/index.php/2011-10-08-03-21-13/submit-artwork-calls-for-entries

"Silence and Noise" is open to St. Louis regional artists 21+. The deadline to enter this exhibit is January 31, 2014.

Works submitted for "Silence & Noise" should reflect the push/pull of noise or silence. The two concepts of opposites will be examined in this exhibit, working as a force against and alongside one another.

Artworks submitted for this exhibit should either be comprised of clean, simple lines and be silent visually, or the artworks should be multi-layered, messy and thereby visually noisy. Works that are conceptually silent or noisy are also considered. Emphasis on multi-media works, but open to works in all media, styles and techniques. As always, we encourage artists to interpret the theme from their own direction using the focus of their media and emphasizing their own individual styles as it applies to this theme.

Serving as Jurors for this exhibition are artists Marie Bannerot McInerney, Professor, Fiber Department, Kansas City Art Institute, Kansas City, MO, and Gary Passanise, Professor, Webster University, St. Louis, MO, and Founder and Executive Director, The Santo Foundation, St. Louis, MO. Learn more about Marie: www.mbmcinerney.com Learn more about Gary: www.garypassanise.com

This exhibit is open to St. Louis regional artists 21+ over. The St. Louis region includes a 200-mile radius of St. Louis and does not extend to Kansas City or Chicago. Limit 2 artworks created 2011-2014. Deadline to enter is January 31, 2014. There are no exceptions to the deadline.
