Call for Work: Deadline 7 December 2012

CALL FOR ART: Northern Arts Council invites artists to submit work for display in local, high-traffic businesses. NAC is now accepting proposals for an installation of new work at Cork and Ferguson Brewing Company, both on Florissant Road in Ferguson, MO. All pieces must be securely framed or gallery-wrapped, wired and ready to hang. All pieces will hang from hooks on the wall from wires on the back of the work; nothing will be tacked, taped, suspended or otherwise fastened. We are unable to accept work that is not sturdy, stable, and completely ready to display. All pieces must be family-friendly for use in these public dining spaces. Artwork may be priced for sale, with NAC retaining 30% of the sale price. There is no fee to submit work.

Work submitted will be juried to fit the exhibit space, to display work from a variety of artists, and to show the best quality work chosen from what is entered. An individual may find that all, some or none of their pieces have been chosen for the exhibit. Artists will be asked to pick up any submitted work that is not chosen for the show.

To have your work considered, contact Kathy Czopek, kathyczopek@aim.com, by December 7. In your e-mail, include media, size and number of pieces you'd like to submit. If NAC is not familiar with your work, please atttach a sample photo. After arranging with Kathy Czopek, drop off work at Pearce Neikirk & Partners, 427 N. Florissant Rd., on Monday, December 10, 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Artists will be notified regarding acceptance after December 10.
